New Priority Club Point Breaks List: Hotels for $35 a night until June 30!

The Priority Club Point Breaks list came out today! These are properties where you can book rewards nights for just 5,000 Priority Club points until June 30, 2013.

I previously wrote about how you can get any hotel on the list for $35 a night by using the cash and points trick summarized in the following steps:

  1. Have 5,000 points in your account
  2. Buy additional increments of 10,000 points for $70 by booking hotels that cost 15,000 a night
  3. Cancel the reservation to have the 15,000 points (10,000 of which you bought for $70) deposited back into your account.
  4. Repeat as many times as you want to get additional increments of 10,000 Priority Club points for $70.

Read my post for details and screenshots on how to do this. It’s pretty easy to pull off and get hotes for $35 a night!

Priority Club rewards nights can usually be canceled until the day before check-in and the Priority Club Point Breaks properties don’t tend to last long. Each hotel has only a limited number of nights it can sell at this rate. So if you’re thinking you might want to stay at one of these, I would just book now.

While this particular list is certainly not as good as some previous times (Inter­con­ti­nen­tal Fiji Golf Resort & Spa was on the list last time!), $35 a night for a hotel is pretty amazing if it fits your travel plans.

For example, the Intercontinental Hanoi (TripAdvisor Review: Intercontinental Hanoi) seems like a nice property in a stunning location if you plan on being in Vietnam in the next two months. While Vietnam isn’t very expensive and the hotel does only cost around the low $100 a night range, $35 a night is still far better. I verified the typical rate on HotelsCombined.com, which searches across most booking engines at once.

There are some more Intercontinentals, Crowne Plazas and Holiday Inns on the list in Istanbul, Madrid, Doha
