Hotel Promotions July 2013: Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG Rewards Club

Here’s a catch up for the main hotel promotions going right now. As usual, my favorite travel deal is the IHG Rewards Club Point Breaks list offering hotels for just 5,000 points a night until August 31. I already stayed at Holiday Inn Bangor for $35 a night on my trip to Acadia National Park last weekend and may use the list again in the near future for a weekend summer trip.

Marriott Rewards also has a fairly attractive Megabonus promotion going right now if Marriott hotel stays fit in with your summer plans. I was targeted for a free night at a Category 1-5 Marriott Rewards property after every two stays, up to two rewards nights. Natalya received a different promotion, but she called and asked to change to the same one I got. Marriott happily obliged and she is now working on completing four stays after matching her Hilton Gold status to Marriott Platinum. She will be rewarded with two free nights in Vancouver on her upcoming trip, which would otherwise cost around $500 total (Vancouver is not cheap!)

Hilton HHonors:

Promotion dates: July 9 – September 30, 2013

Stay Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights to earn Triple HHonors Points. Earn Double HHonors Points on Monday through Thursday at participating hotels and resorts.

Hyatt Gold Passport:

Hyatt has sent out emails targeting members for certain promotions, but there is no program-wide promotion at this time.

IHG Rewards Club:

Promotion dates: July 1 – August 31, 2013

The IHG Rewards Club (formerly Priority Club) Points Break list is cur­rently avail­able until August 31, 2013. All hotels on the list are 5,000 points a night or $35 with the Cash and Points Trick.

Marriott Rewards:

Promotion dates: May 15 – September 2, 2013

Marriott has targeted guests with the following offers for its unexpected bonus promotion:

  • 35,000 bonus points: Earn 25,000 points after 15 nights and another 10,000 bonus points after 20 nights
  • 35,000 bonus points: Earn 25,000 points after 15 nights and another 2,000 points per night for up to 10 addi­tional nights.
  • 45,000 bonus points: Earn 35,000 points after 20 nights and another 10,000 bonus points after 25 nights
  • 55,000 bonus points: Earn 35,000 points after 20 nights and another 2,000 points per night for up to 10 addi­tional nights.
  • Up to 3 Free nights at Cat­e­gory 1–4 hotels: Earn one free night cer­tifi­cate for a cat­e­gory 1 to 4 hotel after every two stays. Max­i­mum of 3 free nights.
  • Up to 2 Free nights at Cat­e­gory 1–5 hotels: Earn one free night cer­tifi­cate for a cat­e­gory 1 to 5 hotel after every two stays. Max­i­mum of 2 free nights.
