Our Top Ten Sights and Experiences in Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler
At Team Miles Professor, it seems we like to visit Vancouver over Labor Day weekends. I went Labor Day weekend in 2012 and Natalya and Svetlana took their trip this year. While I visited Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle and Mount Rainier over 5 days, Natalya and Svetlana spent two days in Vancouver and drove up to Whistler. After we explored the Pacific Northwest, we put our heads together and put together our top ten Vancouver experiences, in no particular order. I consider Vancouver to be the most beautiful city in North America and have no doubt we’ll all be back for more adventures.
1. Whale Watching on the Prince of Whales Tour: I took the Prince of Whales passenger whale watching ferry from Vancouver to Victoria and saw an abundance of whales jumping out of the water. It was an amazing sight! Unfortunately, I didn’t take this picture myself. Another passenger on the ferry had a far more fancy camera and showed me a picture he caught, which he agreed to email to me later on.
2. Views of the Lions Gate Bridge. The Lions Gate Bridge connects Vancouver to the North Shore and is named after the two mountains (the lions) on either side.
3. Exploring Lynn Canyon Park and walking the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. Lynn Canyon Park is in the northern part of Vancouver with waterfalls, incredibly clear water and a 50m high suspension bridge.
4. Walking along the English Bay.
5. Morning view from Westin Bayshore, Vancouver: I used 12,000 Starwood Preferred Guest points a night to spend two nights at the Westin Bayshore hotel, which is right by Stanley Park and Coal Harbor. The sunrise over the mountains in the morning was an unbelievable view!
6. Driving the Sea to Sky Highway. The Sea to Sky Highway spans part of the two hour route from Vancouver to Whistler. A scenic drive any time of year!
7. Walking around in Stanley Park
8. Visiting the Scandinave Spa in Whistler. This outdoor Nordic day spa is a massive 20,000 sq ft land over looking the Whistler landscape. Offering a Scandinavian baths experience, it’s a great place for relaxation among the beautiful mountains.
9. The quaint Whistler Village
10. Visiting Victoria on Vancouver Island and staying at the Fairmont Empress. Victoria is a festive flowery small town filled with nature and flowers. The Fairmont Empress is an Edwardian, chateau-style hotel constructed in the early 1900’s right on the inner harbor.

Thank you :)
No trip to Vancouver Island would be complete without a visit to Butchart Gardens.
Oh, yes, those were lovely :)
I was in Vancouver and Whistler less than 2 mos ago. We also went to Capilano. It was my first time.
