Booked a Hyatt Stay This Year? I am Giving Away Diamond Suite Upgrades!

From our Hyatt Diamond Challenges, my parents and I still have five Diamond suite upgrades that we need to apply before the end of February 2014. I would love to give three away to a few lucky readers to thank everyone for being so loyal and enthusiastic in 2013.

If you have a Hyatt stay coming up that is eligible, please comment below with where you’re staying. I’ll choose a few readers to receive the suite upgrades and contact by email for the full details. Here are the restrictions:

  • Each Diamond Suite upgrade can be used for up to seven nights on any paid points earning rate, including Points and Cash.
  • The upgrades must be applied by February 28, 2014. The stay can be after that.
  • Each hotel has a specific suite that is designated for suite upgrades and it must be available. You don’t need to check ahead of time, but be forewarned we won’t be able to use the upgrade unless the suite is available.

To be eligible, you can enter by  commenting below or following me and tweeting to me with hashtag #TMPHyattSuite with where you’ll be staying so I can find the relevant tweets easily. I will start randomly drawing in a few days and contacting people on a rolling basis until all the three upgrades are used up.

If you comment, make sure to include your email address so I can get in touch with you! And if you’re on Twitter, please help get the word out by retweeting. Maybe someone has a special occasion coming up (hint: Valentine’s Day) and a suite upgrade can help with celebrations!

    I’m staying at Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée for two nights. I was going to stay at Grand Hyatt Cannes Hôtel Martinez, but the Nice Hyatt looks nicer.

  3. Hello. I don’t need the upgrade but actually have some upgrades certificated expiring. How do you use the certificate for someone? Do you have to actually do the booking? I thought the certs are not transferable.

    I’m visiting Abu Dhabi and Dubai with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary in March and staying at both Park Hyatts. The Park Suite is available in Abu Dhabi during my stay and it would be an awesome way to celebrate!
    Also worth noting- my girlfriend continues to be skeptical of all of my points related shenanigans and I can’t think of a better way to warm her up to the hobby than upgrading my cash and points stay with an instrument won from a giveaway on one of the blogs I’m always reading! Thanks!

You taught me so much between the credit cards I would need to apply for along with how to get the most out of your miles. Thank you. So, less than a year i have booked six nights at the Andaz Maui from Feb. 26th to March 3rd. We are celebrating our 5 year anniversary along with enjoying a family vacation with our 4 year old son and 20 month daughter. It would be great to have a suite for more room to accommodate the family. I still cannot believe we are going to paradise as I thought it would never be affordable.   32. Very nice of you. As I’ve written to you before, we will be at the grand Hyatt kauai from March 13 through 18. And then, as I’ve written that ” I’m following in your footsteps”, at the park Hyatt Milan from may 13 through 16. A suite upgrade would be great. But, truthfully. The knowledge and fun that you share in your blogs are treats in themselves. Thanks again for all that you do.

  41. Awesome gesture, but I just entered the Diamond Trial Challenge! Question about that – I do see 4 suite upgrades in my account, but it shows the expiration to be Feb.28, 2014. in other words less than a month. Is that standard, or did they make some kind of mistake? Appreciate your feedback!

  51. I am staying at the Grand Hyatt Taipei and Hyatt Regency Hong Kong in April. Would love to be able to use one of the suite upgrades on either of these two locations. Having the suite upgrade in April would work out really well for me. This way I can wait until July to start my Diamond Challenge so that I can have diamond status until Feb 2016 rather than through Feb 2015 if I were to start the challenge in April. Will be more than happy to return the favor (i.e. give one of my suite upgrades to you) when I start my Diamond Challenge.

  55. Also heading to the Grand Hyatt Tokyo for Christmas 2014 with my girlfriend for 7 nights. Checked availability and I see the Grand Executive and Grand Suite available (called Hyatt to confirm it could be done!) Would be awesome to upgrade my C&P rate with one of these. The suites are selling for 2-3x the price of standard rooms!

  61. My fiancé and I are getting married on march 8th and will be going to Sydney for our honeymoon. The chance to upgrade our room to a suite at the Park Hyatt Sydney would be an amazing gift.

    Thank so much for the chance. Your site was the first site that clearly showed me how to take advantage of the many opportunities for worldwide travel and because of it we are going to Australia using miles instead of having to go somewhere closer.

  62. Hi…I had an online exchange with you once before just before you went on your girls trip to Singapore…gave you some recommendations on what to do in a short time period. Looks like you had a good time.

    I have a family of 6 (4 kids) and my friend has a family of 6 (4 kids). We live in Perth, Australia (I’m American and I’ve been living here for 2.5 years now and my friend is Australian). We’ve booked business class flights for 12 people using US Airways miles for a big family trip in April (30,000 miles/ticket, which as you’ll see is a “steal”…Also amazing that we could get 12 biz class seats on a lot of the flights…thank you Thai Airways!). Our flights are PER-BKK-HKG(23 hour stop)-GUM (destination)-TPE(23 hour stop)-BKK-AKL. Then we’ll use 10,000 AA miles for the one way from NZ back to Perth to close the open jaw.

    I’d love to be considered for the giveaway. Could use the upgrade certs for nights at the Hyatt in Guam (April 20-22), Hong Kong (April 18), Taipei (April 23), or somewhere in NZ (we will be on the south island for about a week, but moving around April 25-May 4).
