Mile Madness Seminars and Celebration in Charlotte

At the beginning of the month, I mentioned that I am participating in a “march mile madness contest” with a few fellow bloggers. I’ve been working to collect the American Airlines miles, Citi ThankYou points, cash back and Hyatt Gold passport points we’ll need for My Goal for March: Earning Points for a Trip To Easter Island.

I’ve been following my usual strategy of implementing simple, efficient and scalable strategies. I’ve already given a few updates on what I’ve been doing to meet my goals:

That’s been working pretty well for me and the official scoreboard is posted on the Frequent Miler blog. Only the last week is at the top and you need to scroll down for the other weeks.

While I plan to post more updates about how I’ve been collecting my points, I wanted to mention the first ever Mile Madness Seminar that we’re hosting in Charlotte on May 10 at the Hyatt House Downtown. Along with a few other talks, I’ll be speaking about my philosophy toward collecting points and how to make it all simple, effortless and efficient! Tickets are $65 (early bird) and $75 (regular price) and include lunch, talks and afternoon drinks and appetizers. Svetlana and I will be there for our first ever trip to Charlotte. So if you’re in the area and can attend, we’d love to see you there! It’s also where the official winner of the competition will be announced.

For more information on the seminars and to purchase tickets, you can check out the announcement and full information on Saverocity!

  1. I would love to attend this event, but it is the worst possible time for my schedule. Are there future plans for seminars, etc.? I live in St. Louis. Is there anything scheduled this year for the Midwest?

    1. There are a few miles events scheduled around the country, though this is the first one for mile madness that specifically focuses on strategies to earn more miles. There are usually two Frequent Traveler University events a year and I spoke in Tampa last September. The next one is in April, though in Seattle, also far away from us. The Chicago Seminars are at the end of a October and is a very large event with hundreds of people attending. I may be able to make it to that one as well, though not decided yet.
