Hyatt Targeted Fall Promotion Up To 50,000 Bonus Points
I learned via One Mile at a Time that Hyatt has sent out some targeted emails on its fall promotion. I haven’t received my email yet, but Lucky reports an offer of up to 50,000 points when you stay 20 nights. The way it works is you get bonus points for every 5 nights between September 1 and November 30, 2014.
To see if you qualify for the promotion, visit this link and enter your Hyatt Gold Passport number: Hyatt 50,000 Points for 20 Nights Promotion.
The more nights you stay, the more points you earn per night. Although the bonus is only given out every 5 nights, here’s how it works:
- First 5 nights earns 1,000 points per night.
- Next 5 nights earns 2,000 points per night.
- Next 5 nights earns 3,000 points per night.
- Next 5 nights earns 4,000 points per night.
If you stay all 20 nights, you end up earning 2,500 points per night. If you do have lots of business travel and end up going for all of it, then 50,000 points can be quite valuable. It’s enough for two award nights at Park Hyatt Vienna (25,000 points a night) or three award nights at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo (15,000 points a night).
I personally prefer to use Hyatt Gold Passport points for Points and Cash rates. Not only are those nights eligible for earning status, but they can be upgraded with Diamond Suite Upgrades that come with Diamond status. For 12,500 points + $150 a night, we can book at stay at the Park Hyatt Vienna and upgrade to a 1,200 square foot suite. That’s exactly what I did on my trip to Vienna in July and posted a video of the room: Video of a Suite at Park Hyatt Vienna
I tried registering for the promotion, but wasn’t eligible. Neither was Svetlana and she is Diamond at this point. But even so, Hyatt will probably send out some more emails with different promotions so we’ll see what comes up.
Which Nights are Eligible Towards the Promotion?
To participate successfully in the promotion, here are the rules for which nights will count:
- Paid nights at Hyatt properties are eligible when the rate earns points (e.g. many third party bookings will not count).
- Paid nights at MGM M Life properties are not eligible.
- Cash and Points rates, which will become available are eligible.
- Award nights (booked fully with points or free night certificates) are not eligible.
- If you are traveling as a group and book multiple rooms, only the member’s room is eligible.
Here are the full terms and conditions:
You must receive this offer from Hyatt and register by November 30, 2014 through the email link above to participate in this offer. You will receive 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after you complete five Eligible Nights, an additional 10,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after you complete ten Eligible Nights, an additional 15,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after you complete fifteen Eligible Nights, and an additional 20,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after you complete twenty Eligible Nights from September 1, 2014 through November 30, 2014. A maximum 50,000 bonus points may be earned, regardless of the number of nights completed during the offer period. For the purpose of this offer, an “Eligible Night” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate, as defined in the terms and conditions of Hyatt Gold Passport, except that nights at M life resorts do not count as Eligible Nights under this offer. Hyatt Gold Passport members will only receive Eligible Night credit for their room, regardless of the number of rooms paid. You must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport membership number at the time of check-in and choose points or miles for your stay. Hyatt Gold Passport will automatically track Eligible Nights when you provide your Hyatt Gold Passport membership number. Please allow two to three weeks after your stay for bonus points to be posted to your Hyatt Gold Passport account.
Was anyone else targeted for the promotion? Or did anyone receive emails for any other promotion?
I’m heading to Cancun next week, staying at the Hyatt zilara for 4 nights! Super excited i see you love going the Caribbean. any tips for going to Cancun? must see or do things? Best places to drink? any reviews on the all inclusive hyatt zilara?
Ive done Dominican republic, Antigua, Virgin Islands and Bahamas already, trying to expand my horizons!
I haven’t been to the Hyatt Zilara, but have been to Playa del Carmen south of Cancun twice. When there, I mainly sit on the beach and relax. The one thing I do recommend, though, if you can make it that far South is to visit Tulum. Mayan ruins right on the backdrop of beautiful blue ocean waves. That was probably my favorite attraction in the Mayan Riviera :)
great blog btw, first day reader! thanks alot, will try to see if there I can make it there, may be stuck by the pool all day though.
Thanks! Have a great time in Cancun!
