Today Only: United MileagePlus Portal Offers 10x for Select Stores
I learned via Frequent Miler’s quick deals that the United MileagePlus Shopping portal is offering 10 points per dollar for shopping at Sephora, Macy’s, eBags and Nordstrom. This is a promotion that is for a single day only and it lasts for September 2 only.
You can visit the shopping portal at United MileagePlus Shopping and log in with your United Mileage Plus account. In my experience, points typically take a few weeks to post.
I know I do lots of shopping at Sephora, Nordstrom and Macy’s and I do like United miles so this deal caught my eye in particular. I did make a few purchases at Sephora over the weekend, but I still have a few things I need to buy… especially with my sister’s birthday coming up mid month.This is a significantly higher bonus than usual as these merchants only typically earn around 3 points each through the United MileagePlus portal. As I value United miles at 1.5-1.8 cents per dollar, that’s like getting 15-18% off my purchase. And if you happen to have any promo codes like the Sephora VIB 15% coupon, then you can stack that as well!
Looks like I know what I’ll be doing tonight when I get home from work!
Do we have to use Chase United credit card to maximize the benefit or any credit card would be ok? Can we use store gift cards and also get the 10x points for buying with gift card?
Any credit card is fine as the promotion or portal is not tied to a credit card. I haven’t tested using gift cards with this specific portal, but I usually get points when I use gift cards at Sephora through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. That may not be an indication of gift cards working there with this portal, however.
Gift cards should work using the UA portal. I used some during last month’s 12x and received my miles.
