Ritz Carlton Card 140,000 Point Offer Has Expired

Last month, I wrote about the $395 annual fee 140,000 point offer for the Ritz-Carlton card after spending $2000 that my parents each signed up for and I know this is something that interested many readers. It was only available by phone with a special offer code and many people called in to get it, but we didn’t know when it would really end. I received a few comments that it appears that those who called in yesterday afternoon were being told on the phone that the offer has expired.

Reports on Flyertalk are confirming the same and it appears the offer is gone at this point. There were actually two offers and both are now gone:

  • 140,000 points with a $395 annual fee.
  • 70,000 points without an annual fee.

For those who missed the offer, it may or may not come back. There is reason to be optimistic as it did apparently come and go a few times since 2012. However, in my opinion, it’s best to just assume it won’t come back and be pleasantly surprised if it does.

For those who got in on the offer, congratulations! I did write a few posts on how to maximize the points and one of the best uses is going to be the Marriott Flight and Hotel packages and you can read more about them here:
