[Expired] 70,000 Point Offer for the Chase Ink Plus

Update: The 70,000 point offer is now expired.

I just received an email today to refer my friends who are business owners to a 70,000 point offer for the Chase Ink Plus® Business Card. This is a pretty awesome offer as the usual public offer for the card is only 50,000 points after spending $5000 within 3 months. For every person I refer who is approved for and uses the card by January 21, 2015, I will receive 10,000 points. So check your emails – you may have the same offer sitting in your inbox and may be able to refer friends to receive 10,000 points for each referral. The card comes with a $95 annual fee.

Here are the details:

  • In order to be eligible for the 10,000 points referral bonus, you must refer business owners to the card by October 10, 2014.
  • The business owner you refer must get and use the card by January 21, 2015 for you to receive the 10,000 points.
  • The person you refer will receive 70,000 points for spending $5000 within 3 months of account opening.
  • You can refer up to five friends for a maximum of 50,000 referral points.

The Chase Ink Plus card earns Ultimate Rewards points and I am a big fan of these points. They transfer 1:1 to 10+ different airline and hotel partners and my favorite partners are United Airline, Hyatt Gold Passport and British Airways. The 70,000 points is a great deal and enough for:

  • A round-trip flight to Europe (costs 60,000 miles + taxes)  when transferred to United
  • Almost 3 nights at the Park Hyatt Vienna (costs 25,000 points a night) when transferred to Hyatt Gold Passport
  • 3 trips from New York to Cancun by redeeming British Airways miles on American Airlines flights.

So if you are interested in getting the Chase Ink Plus card, do check if one of your friends has the card and can refer you. This way, he’ll get an extra 10,000 points and you’ll get 70,000 points. If you don’t know anyone with the card, I do have it myself and am happy to send out referrals. Just send me an email at milesprofessor at gmail. And if any readers want to leave email addresses in the comments, please feel free to do so and other readers may send you emails for referrals.

    1. You just have to be a little creative when you apply. I used my SS# and and dollar amounts for some small sideline stuff I do.

  1. Is this the same Chase that just threatened sanctions for people “who only get cards to get the bonus”? The Flyer talk on this has some scary stories. I am also worried about United award availability if Chase keeps flooding the market with miles (maybe that is why they issue warnings).

    1. In my mind, it’s a reasonable move for a bank to make clear you won’t be eligible to be approved for more cards in the case that you’re regularly signing up for new cards and only getting bonuses. That’s always been the case and their new terms have only made it more transparent. While it’s good to do research on Flyertalk, I would honestly take the stories there with a grain of salt… after all, we’re only hearing one side of the story and people are not always truthful about what exactly they were doing; it could be far more extreme than they admit. I personally am not worried about my credit with them :)

  2. I’m trying to pay back my MIL’s mileage that she lent me because she had to have emergency surgery and needed me to replace here on a trip with only a week’s notice. As soon as she is better, she’ll need them to make her trip. tmp @ pendolas.com THANKS!

  3. A point of clarification–if anyone knows…
If I receive a referral before 10/10 but don’t apply for the card until January, will I still be eligible for the 70k bonus?
